William attended kindergarten at Leeds Boys Modern right through to leaving for Leeds Grammer School.
William enlisted into the Birmingham Pals in August 1914 due to having a business venture in the city.
This business experiance led him to being promoted to the rank of Captain in the Army Service Corps in November 1914.
william served in the France and Flanders region until October 1916 when he was accepted into the Royal Flying Corps.
William was reported missing and presumed to have gave his life on the 6th April 1917.

"Son of Arthur Edwin and Elizabeth Brayshay, of Hill Hook House, Clarence Rd., Sutton Coldfield, and Sheaf House, Headingley, Leeds. Born at Birmingham."
