Reginald was the son of Edwin Born Wakefield in 1875 a grocers assistant and Lily Wyatt Sharpe Born Goole in 1875, they married in Sculcoates near Hull in 1899.
Reginald joined the Leeds Boys Modern Cadet Corps in 1914 at the outbreak of war. Leaving school he worked as a clerk in the County fire Insurance Company on East Parade in Leeds.
Reginald had to wait for the correct age to enlist and on his eighteenth birthday he joined the West Yorkshire Regiment.
After six months training on the 14th August 1918 he was sent to France. Reginald gave his life in the September 1918 near St Quentin France.

"Son of Edwin and Lily Wyatt Burn, of 11, Hares Mount, Shepherd's Lane, Leeds. Born at Hull."
