Geoffrey was the son of Wiliam Dibble Born North Yorkshire 1860 and Mary Isabel Ingleby Born Leeds 1868, they married at Leeds in 1890.
Geoffrey attended Leeds Boys Modern with his brother and they both worked for the civil service.
Geoffrey moved to ireland living in Kilkenny working in the Customs and excise department, and enlisted into the Motor transport Section
being sent to India where he contracted Malaria
Geoffrey passed away in Bangalore on the 5th March 1918.
The CWGC shows the following details:
"Son of William Dibble Pollitt and the late Mary Isabel Pollitt, of Thornton Dale, Pickering, N. Yorks. Buried in Bangalore (Hosur Road) Cemetery."
