CEMETERY: Beaurains Road Cemetery is just north of the village on the road from Arras.

Cecil enlisted in December 1916 into the Training Battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment. He was transferred to the West Yorkshire Regiment in February 1917.


Cecil lost his life on Easter Sunday 9th April 1917 only four months after joining up.
